Happy Sixth Birthday, my little one.

In your words, "This was the fastest year of my life!" 2013 was a series of changes for us; new city, new home, new job, new school... kindergarten. We've felt our share of growing pains, but each and every day, there are moments when you do something so spectacular... so lovely... so kind, that the world slows down and I can't help but stop and recognize your beautiful, sweet soul.

You are simply my everything.

No matter where life takes us or the trials we face, I will always be your biggest fan.

Stay hungry, stay foolish; here's to celebrating you!

Tu es ma joie de vivre,

Mommy

--

she listened

to her heart above

all the other voices.

celebrate her wisdom.

she was sweet

and loving

and kind.

celebrate her tenderness.

she realized that we miss out on a great deal

by being sensible.

celebrate her spirit.

she turned her obstacles

into opportunities.

celebrate her outlook.

she changed her

cant's into cans,

and her dreams

into plans.

celebrate her goals.

she ignored people who said

it couldn't be done.

celebrate her independence.

she made the

whole world

feel like

c home.

celebrate her warmth.

she not only saw a light

at the end of the tunnel,

she became that light for

others.

celebrate her compassion.

she went out on a limb,

had it break off behind her

and discovered she could fly.

celebrate her faith.

she just had

this way of

brightening

each day.

celebrate her radiance.

she thought time was

best spent giggling.

celebrate her joy.

she walked in when

everyone else walked out.

celebrate her friendship.

she added so much beauty

to the world.

celebrate her presence.

she colored her thoughts

with only

the brightest

hues.

celebrate her optimism.

she was an artist

and life was her canvas.

celebrate her brilliance.

she held her head high and

looked the world straight in the eye.

celebrate her strength.

she saw every ending as

a new beginning.

celebrate her resiliency.

she ran ahead

where there

were no paths.

celebrate her bravery.

she loved without condition.

celebrate her heart.

she thought her life to be a fairytale.

celebrate her happiness.

she believed in herself.

celebrate her self reliance.

she pursued big dreams

instead of small realities.

celebrate her priorities.

she remained true

to herself.

celebrate her authenticity.

she crossed borders

recklessly, refusing to

recognize limits,

saying bonjour and

buon giorno,

as though she owned

both France and Italy

and the day itself.

celebrate her joie de vivre.

she made the world a better place.

celebrate her.
